How to Set Up Work Email on Your iPhone

Adding Work Email to iPhone
Set up your work email on your iPhone to stay connected on the go.
Before You Start
You will need:
- Your work email address
- Your email password
- Your organisation may require additional setup (ask IT if unsure)
Setting Up Microsoft 365 Email
Step 1: Open Settings
- Open the Settings app
- Scroll down and tap Mail
- Tap Accounts
- Tap Add Account
Step 2: Choose Account Type
- Tap Microsoft Exchange (for Microsoft 365)
- Or tap Other if instructed by IT
Step 3: Enter Your Details
- Enter your work email address
- Add a description (e.g., "Work Email")
- Tap Next
Step 4: Sign In
- You may be redirected to your organisation's sign-in page
- Enter your password
- Complete two-factor authentication if prompted
- Tap Accept to allow access
Step 5: Choose What to Sync
Select what you want to sync:
- Mail - Your emails
- Contacts - Work contacts
- Calendars - Work calendar
- Reminders - Tasks and reminders
Setting Up Gmail/Google Workspace
Step 1: Add Account
- Open Settings > Mail > Accounts
- Tap Add Account
- Tap Google
Step 2: Sign In
- Enter your work email address
- Tap Next
- Enter your password
- Complete any verification steps
Step 3: Choose What to Sync
Select Mail, Contacts, Calendars as needed.
Troubleshooting
Cannot connect?
- Check your email address is correct
- Verify your password
- Contact IT for specific server settings
- Check you have internet connection
- Go to Settings > Mail > Accounts
- Tap your account and check Mail is enabled
- Your password may have changed
- You may need to re-enter credentials
- Contact IT if problems persist
Security Tips
Do:
- Use a screen lock on your phone
- Enable Find My iPhone
- Report lost devices immediately
- Share your phone without supervision
- Leave your phone unlocked
- Ignore security updates
