How to Connect Your Phone to Office WiFi

Connecting to Office WiFi
Getting your phone on the office WiFi lets you save mobile data and get better speed.
Before You Start
You'll need:
- The WiFi network name (SSID)
- The WiFi password
- Ask IT or check signage in the office if unsure
iPhone Instructions
Step 1: Open Settings
- Tap the Settings app
- Tap WiFi
Step 2: Turn On WiFi
Make sure the WiFi toggle is green/on.
Step 3: Select Network
- Find your office network in the list
- Tap on it
Step 4: Enter Password
- Type the WiFi password carefully
- Passwords are case-sensitive
- Tap Join
Step 5: Verify Connection
- A tick appears next to the network name
- WiFi icon shows in the status bar
Android Instructions
Step 1: Open Settings
- Open the Settings app
- Tap Network & internet or Connections
- Tap WiFi
Step 2: Turn On WiFi
Make sure WiFi is switched on.
Step 3: Select Network
- Find your office network
- Tap on it
Step 4: Enter Password
- Type the password carefully
- Tap Connect
Step 5: Verify Connection
- "Connected" appears under the network name
- WiFi icon shows in the status bar
Corporate WiFi (WPA2-Enterprise)
Some offices use corporate WiFi requiring your work login:
When Prompted:
- Username: Your work email or username
- Password: Your work password
- Accept any security certificates if prompted
Troubleshooting
Can't see the network?
- Move closer to a WiFi access point
- Ask IT if the network is hidden
- Make sure you're in range
- Check for typos
- Remember it's case-sensitive
- Ask IT for the correct password
- Forget the network and reconnect
- Restart your phone
- Contact IT
Forgetting a Network
If you need to start fresh:
iPhone:
- Go to Settings > WiFi
- Tap the "i" next to the network
- Tap Forget This Network
- Go to Settings > WiFi
- Long press or tap the network
- Tap Forget
Guest WiFi
If your office has separate guest WiFi:
- It may have a simpler password
- May require accepting terms
- May have limited access
