    Why Secure Your Phone?

    Your work phone contains:

    • Email with confidential information
    • Access to company systems
    • Client contacts
    • Sensitive documents
Losing an unsecured phone could put all this at risk.

    Essential Security Settings

    1. Enable Screen Lock

    • Go to Settings > Face ID & Passcode (or Touch ID & Passcode)
    • Tap Turn Passcode On
    • Create a 6-digit code (or longer)
    • Enable Face ID or Touch ID for convenience
    Android:
    • Go to Settings > Security > Screen lock
    • Choose PIN, Pattern, or Password
    • Set up fingerprint or face unlock if available

    2. Set Auto-Lock Timer

Lock your phone quickly when not in use:

    iPhone:

    • Settings > Display & Brightness > Auto-Lock
    • Choose 30 seconds or 1 minute
    Android:
    • Settings > Display > Screen timeout
    • Choose 30 seconds or 1 minute

    3. Enable Find My Device

Locate or wipe your phone if lost:

    iPhone:

    • Settings > [Your Name] > Find My
    • Enable Find My iPhone
    • Enable Find My network
    • Enable Send Last Location
    Android:
    • Settings > Security > Find My Device
    • Enable Find My Device

    Keep Software Updated

    Updates fix security vulnerabilities:

    iPhone:

    • Settings > General > Software Update
    • Enable Automatic Updates
    Android:
    • Settings > System > System update
    • Check for updates regularly

    App Security

    Only Install Trusted Apps

    • Download from official app stores only

    • Review app permissions before installing
