How to Access OneDrive on Your Phone

OneDrive on Your Phone
The OneDrive app lets you access your work files anywhere.
Installing OneDrive
iPhone
- Open the App Store
- Search for "OneDrive"
- Tap Get to download
Android
- Open Google Play Store
- Search for "Microsoft OneDrive"
- Tap Install
Signing In
- Open the OneDrive app
- Tap Sign in
- Enter your work email
- Enter your password
- Complete any security verification
Viewing Files
Browse Your Files
- Tap Files at the bottom
- Navigate through your folders
- Tap any file to open it
Recent Files
Tap Recent to see files you recently accessed.
Shared With Me
Tap Shared to see files others have shared with you.
Opening Different File Types
- Documents - Open in Word, Excel, or PowerPoint apps
- PDFs - View directly in OneDrive
- Images - View in OneDrive
- Videos - Play in OneDrive
Downloading for Offline Access
To access files without internet:
- Find the file
- Tap the three dots (...) next to it
- Tap Make available offline
Uploading Files
From Camera
- Tap + button
- Tap Take a photo
- Capture and save
From Phone Storage
- Tap + button
- Tap Upload
- Browse and select files
Camera Upload
Enable automatic photo backup:
- Tap your profile picture
- Tap Settings
- Tap Camera upload
- Toggle on
Sharing Files
- Tap the three dots (...) next to a file
- Tap Share
- Choose how to share:
Tips
Save mobile data:
- Download files on WiFi before travelling
- Disable camera upload on mobile data
- Remove offline files you no longer need
- Clear cache in settings if low on space
- Enable PIN or biometric lock in OneDrive settings
- Don't leave the app open when not using
