What is Microsoft To Do?
Microsoft To Do is a task management app that helps you:
- Keep track of tasks
- Set due dates and reminders
- Organise tasks into lists
- Sync across all your devices
Getting Started
Access Microsoft To Do
Online:
- Go to todo.microsoft.com
- Sign in with your work account
Mobile: Download from App Store or Google Play
Adding Tasks
Quick Add
- Click Add a task
- Type your task
- Press Enter
Add Details
Click on a task to add:
- Due date - When it needs to be done
- Reminder - Get notified
- Notes - Additional information
- Steps - Break into subtasks
Using My Day
My Day helps you focus on what matters today:
- Click My Day in the sidebar
- Click Add a task to add new tasks
- Or click the lightbulb to see suggestions
- Focus on just today's priorities
Creating Lists
Organise tasks into lists:
Create a List
- Click New list in the sidebar
- Give it a name (e.g., "Project X", "Weekly Reports")
- Add tasks to that list
Ideas for Lists
- Work projects
- Personal tasks
- Weekly recurring tasks
- Shopping or errands
- Goals
Setting Due Dates
- Click on a task
- Click Add due date
- Choose:
Tasks with due dates appear in the Planned view.
Adding Reminders
- Click on a task
- Click Remind me
- Choose when to be reminded:
Completing Tasks
When done:
- Click the circle next to the task
- It's marked as completed
- Completed tasks move to a "Completed" section
Tips for Productivity
Every morning:
- Open My Day
- Review suggestions
- Add what you'll focus on today
- Review completed tasks
- Add any new tasks for tomorrow
- Celebrate what you accomplished
- Review all lists
- Update due dates
- Remove irrelevant tasks
