    Important Settings

    Paper Type

Critical: Set the paper type to match what you're using:

    • Plain paper - for regular paper
    • Photo paper - for glossy/matte photo paper
Wrong paper type = poor quality.

    Quality

For photos, always use Best or High quality:

    • Uses more ink
    • Takes longer
    • Much better results

    Colour vs Black and White

    • Choose Colour for colour photos
    • Choose Greyscale for black and white prints

    Loading Photo Paper

    • Check which side is the printing side (often shinier)
    • Load with printing side facing the right direction (check your printer)
    • Adjust paper guides
    • Don't load too many sheets at once

    Troubleshooting

    Colours don't look right?

    • Check paper type setting
    • Make sure you're using the correct paper side
    • Consider calibrating your monitor
    Prints are blurry?
    • Use higher quality setting
    • Make sure image isn't low resolution
    • Check printer alignment
    Prints smudging?
    • Let prints dry before handling
    • Use correct paper type
    • Check ink levels
